Originally from Osaka, Japan, Ryu has been in Canada for more than 20 years. Ryu has been immersed in music since a young age.

Ryu can be seen performing all around the Edmonton area. Ryu keeps busy year round playing in local pubs, lounges, house concerts, block parties, private and corporate events, weddings, birthday parties, retirement homes, and community events. He is a popular attraction at the many farmer's markets throughout the summer. He loves to jam with other musicians and can often be found at an open mic event supplying exciting solos and playing crowd favourites from his vast repertoire.
